Course image VISUAL EFFECTS II
Department of Animation

VISUAL EFFECTS II  is a part of Visual Effects in the process of film making. Visual effects (abbreviated VFX) is the process by which imagery is created or manipulated outside the context of a live-action shot in film making. VISUAL EFFECTS II is the combining of visual elements from separate sources into single images, or footage often to create the illusion that all those elements are parts of the same scene. Live-action shooting for compositing is variously called "chroma-key", "blue screen", "green screen" and other names.

Department of Animation

● Students develop an innovative body of work making use of the skills and knowledge acquired during the previous courses.  This guided project culminates in a final presentation accompanied by a written component.

● Working closely with the professor, students define specific production goals to explore or complete an animation project of their choosing.  Emphasis is on the conceptual, aesthetic and technical processes.  Students are encouraged to share their specific areas of expertise while producing individually directed projects.

● They will be experiencing the 3D Animation Film  Production techniques which involve all three sectors, ie. Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production.
